Antoine Boulad
President
Born in 1951, Antoine Boulad is a founding member of both associations, Assabil and Kitabat. His cause is reading/writing and citizenship. Published poet and writer, he is author of more than fifteen books. He has been a teacher and director at the International College. He currently runs creative writing workshops.

Professor (retired) of Information and Libraries Sciences. Researcher in the field of libraries, book publishing and reading practice. Founding member of the Assabil Association, member of Shamaa Arab Educational Information Network Board of Trustees and Executive Committee.
Farah Choucair

Farah is a passionate reader and an experienced IB Librarian. She studied Library and information science at Lebanese University and pursued her MA in ‘Métiers du livre’ at Saint Joseph University. For many years, Farah was the MYP/ DP librarian and the ATL Leader for an IB school. Prior to this, Farah was in charge of ASSABIL’s Resource and Training center and worked in the editorial team at Arab Organization for Translation.
Sarah Chahine Ammar

Sarah Chahine Ammar holds a Master’s degree in Teaching Philosophy and Psychology from the Faculty of Education at the Lebanese University. Since 1975, she has been teaching Arabic—both for native and non-native speakers—at the Collège Protestant Français in Beirut, across all levels. In 2009, she was appointed as the Head and Coordinator of Arabic Language Studies at the school.From 2005 to 2023, she also took part in the SINARC Program at the Lebanese American University, teaching Arabic language and culture to non-native speakers.
