Our Mission
ASSABIL is a non-sectarian NGO that promotes cultural participation and knowledge sharing through public libraries and public spaces. We encourage reading, unlock imaginations, and nurture critical thinking, thereby contributing to building well-informed communities.
We develop capacities, network, and share expertise with public libraries, cultural actors, and educational institutions in Lebanon to ensure that inclusive programming strategies are applied, and state-of-the-art tools and equitable access to knowledge are in place to reach out to everyone and encourage their active participation in civic life.
